Alexander De Croo

Alexander De Croo is Prime Minister of Belgium, and the country’s former Finance Minister. Before entering into politics, Alexander worked at Boston Consulting Group and started up his own company in intellectual property rights. As Prime Minister, Alexander launched the R&D Biopharma Platform to cultivate and strengthen the Belgian Health & Biotech Valley. He is also one of the most vocal proponents of the European Chip Act, and aims for Europe to become the world leader in advanced semi-conductors.

Patrick Gelsinger

Pat Gelsinger is CEO of Intel. In 2021, he returned to this company where he started out his career in 1979, and was its very first Chief Technology Officer. Before re-joining Intel, Pat was CEO of VMware, and President of EMC’s Information Infrastructure Products business. Pat went back to Intel with a bold plan to reinvigorate the world’s biggest producer in semiconductors. His vision and audacity led to him being ranked him best CEO in the US in 2019.

Peter Piot

Dr. Peter Piot is EU Chief Scientific Advisor Epidemics. He is a microbiologist and world-renowned expert in infectious diseases and how to tackle them. Peter is among those who discovered the Ebola virus and deciphered the HIV virus ́ modes of transmission.

He was previously the associate director of WHO’s global AIDS program, founding director of UNAIDS, UN Under-Secretary-General and director of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
